ITEM DESCRIPTION
This is a unique Shreve & Co. man's solid 14k
gold pocket watch.
This watch is unique
because it was presented to Harry Trumpour upon his retirement in 1943.
I put his name into google search, and
I found he graduated from high school in San Francisco in 1917.
This is very cool, because this guy went from high
school, to his job at the bank, and stayed there for 25 years.
His life spans a most interesting time in early San
Francisco's history.
Harry was just a
young boy when the great earthquake and fire destroyed much of San
Francisco.
As a young man, he no doubt
went to the Panama Pacific International Exposition, and even saw the
building of the famous Golden Gate bridge.
Harry's
dad or grandfather was a dentist in San Francisco in the 1870's and
more research needs to be done.
ITEM MEASUREMENTS
This measures 2 3/16" high, 1 3/4" wide, and 5/16"
deep.
This weighs about 42.2 grams (before packing).
