Who is ScarceAntiques.com?

It is important to know who you are dealing with on the internet these days, so I want to tell you a bit about myself.

My name is Christian Chaffee, and I am really excited to finally be launching this website.

I have been buying and selling antiques and art since I was a young man working with my father in Santa Barbara in the late 1960's.

As a long time seller on eBay, I know how to do good business. The foundation of every transaction is to consider the interests of my fellow man, as well as my own. I will do my part, and provide an environment where you can relax and invest your money in genuine items which are accurately represented.

I have been selling on eBay for 10 years, and have an excellent reputation for doing good honest business. This is your assurance that I am a reasonable reliable businessman.

I understand what buyers / investors want and need. This is why I will always reachable at home (619) 299-3448, and my cell phone at (619) 261-3448.

I am primarily a dealer in antiques and art. I opened my business Chaffee Estate Services, here in San Diego in the early 1990's. I sell on eBay, and Ruby Lane.

I am in the process of expanding my small cafe, and building a small 3 story building to conduct my internet businesses and to serve as a beautiful place to work on my many projects.

I will be launching several websites in the near future to promote my other projects, and to inform the public on the progress on these various projects.

RealNihonto.com fine Japanese art swords
1) RealNihonto.com will be the 3rd of these websites to be launched. I am offering fine Japanese swords, fittings and related items for sale, on a first come, first serve basis. I am working hard to make this website a great place for collectors to find the genuine swords and fittings of high quality they want for their collections. I am also working hard to make this fun and interesting too, so please check it out thoroughly. If you are a sword collector, please sign up to be added to my mailing list. This way, you will be informed every time I add new items to my website which you may be interested in. If you have a Japanese sword website, or offer traditional sword services, which are in line with the policy's of the NBTHK, and I know you personally from the sword shows, please email me, and I will be glad to add a link to your website to mine.

Jack London's long lost writing tablet
2) JackLondonTablet.com This is a website to announce my discovery of an important work of art, and had become unknown to even exist! Jack London's redwood writing tablet, was made from a slab of hand carved California redwood, with the dog "Buck" from "The Call of the Wild" laying across the back. If you love Jack London's works, you will find this discovery amazing.

San Diego historic streetcars
3) SanDiegoHistoricStreetcars.org will be launched sometime in 2009. This website is being designed to educate people regarding the history of San Diego's past electric streetcar history, and about the last 3 surviving Class 1 streetcars. These historic treasures were almost lost to the wrecking ball, until I was informed of their existence, and decided to save them for the future of our great city. These were designated as San Diego Landmark #339 in 1998. I have a dream that one day, I will see these restored, and returned to the streets of San Diego, as part of a major revitalization project. These Class 1 streetcars are big and roomy, and works of art built in the short lived Arts & Crafts style. Utilizing this historic resource, can bring new vigor into several inner city neighborhoods, and to provide part of the solution to the severe parking shortage in downtown San Diego's Gas Lamp Quarter. Riding in these historic Class 1 streetcars, can help to incorporate decentralized parking, by providing a fun way to visit downtown, our new ballpark, and eliminate the struggle of finding parking downtown. You can read more about this project on line.

4) SydneyGelfand.com: will be launched in mid to late 2010 to announce the existence of most of the life's works of a Jewish artist, who in the 1930's, was world famous, but over time, has faded into obscurity. His works are exceptional in their own right. He has a colorful and important history of painting and exhibiting in well known galleries in the US from the 1930's, until his death in the mid 1990's. I am launching this website to make sure he gets the recognition he deserves. His name will be made public as soon as I can find and purchase a few more of his paintings. :)
